Wind conditions

Wind measurements commenced shortly after the entry into service of the platform. Computer processing of wind speeds measured from January 2004 to December shows an average wind speed of 9.9 m/s (at an height of 103 metres).

The prevailing wind is south-westerly.

Measured data from all three research platforms can be obtained from the BSH, after registration. Data is supplied to the FINO database.
